Greetings!
The Bato Balani Foundation Inc (BBFI) is a private foundation engaged in the management of educational development programs in the Philippines . For more than a decade, BBFI has consistently dedicated itself to uplift the quality of education in the Philippines through projects that strive to bring out excellence and quality in the field of education.
In recent years, the foundation has focused a number of its programs on inspiring the Filipino teacher, the unseen and unrecognized force that has shaped the nation and molded the characters of heroes and future leaders.
With the support of its partners, BBFI launched “The Many Faces of the Teacher”, an advocacy campaign aimed to extol the virtues of teaching by providing role models who can inspire excellence. Since 2004, the campaign has recognized leaders in the teaching profession as examples of true heroes that have been the source of inspiration and knowledge for their fellow teachers and students.
This year, we have established a Selection Process that gives the chance for partner organizations to nominate an educator who fits the criteria of an ‘honoree’ for our campaign. Rather than focus on skills, we are looking for role models who can inspire excellence by virtue of their dedication to their profession. We have solicited nominations from schools, school organizations (FAPE, CEAP, MAPSA, etc), and the Department of Education.
It is in this light that we would like to invite your organization to nominate inspiring teachers for this year’s search for honorees.
