The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), founded in 1941, is the national association of Catholic educational institutions. Today, it represents over 1,525 member schools and more than 120 superintendents through regional associations across all 17 regions of the Philippines.
CEAP is a voluntary, non-stock, and non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the mission of Catholic education. It represents the interests of Catholic schools in national and international forums, fosters unity in educational action, and assists members, particularly those in mission areas, in achieving shared goals. Through a Catholic orientation aligned with Church norms and national development objectives, CEAP contributes to the total development of the human person.
The Association promotes religious instruction, character formation, and citizenship building, and actively responds to social, political, and moral issues in consultation with its regional members. CEAP is affiliated with key local and international networks, including the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA), the Private Education Assistance Committee-Fund for Assistance to Private Education (PEAC-FAPE), and the International Office of Catholic Education (OIEC).
In 2026, CEAP will celebrate its 85th anniversary, marking more than eight decades of guiding Catholic schools on a Journey of Faith, Formation, and Renewed Mission. To commemorate this milestone, CEAP renews its mission to develop learners, empower schools, and transform society through faith, collaboration, and solidarity, guided by its three core commitments:
Transformative Education – forming learners equipped with knowledge, values, and skills for holistic growth.
Principle-based Advocacy – championing truth, justice, and human dignity in education and society.
Solidarity Toward a Civilization of Love – supporting communities and vulnerable groups through collaborative action.
Guided by the Person and Message of Jesus, CEAP continues to journey in communion with the Church and society, shaping a future rooted in faith, hope, and love.
A community of Catholic educational institutions centered on Jesus Christ, journeying together with the Church and society marked by communion, participation, and mission towards institutional and social transformation.
To strengthen solidarity among member-schools through dialogue and collaboration
To champion transformative Filipino Catholic education
To discern and advocate positions on social issues and public concerns for the welfare of individuals, in particular, and society in general
