CEAP Board Holds Fourth Quarter Meeting, Advances 2026 Key Initiatives

Manila, Philippines — The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Board of Trustees convened for its Fourth Quarter Meeting on March 24, 2026, at Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle, Manila, to discuss key priorities and upcoming initiatives.

In preparation for the Board meeting, the Executive Committee met earlier in the day under the leadership of CEAP President Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, and Executive Director Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio, joined by Fr. Wilmer Joseph S. Tria, Br. Edmundo L. Fernandez, FSC, Br. Joaquin Severino S. Martinez, FSC, and Atty. Sabino B. Padilla IV.

The Board of Trustees meeting formally opened in the afternoon at 1:00 PM with a prayer led by Dr. Gina L. Montalan, NBEC Chairperson, bringing together trustees from different regions to deliberate on key organizational matters, ongoing initiatives, and strategic directions for the association.

 

The meeting was graced by the presence of Abp. Charlie M. Inzon, OMI, DD, Chairperson of the CBCP-ECCE, who shared key directions from the CBCP. He emphasized synodality and the role of Catholic schools in contributing to the 2028 Synod and the 2033 Great Jubilee of Redemption, while encouraging stronger collaboration among Catholic education groups in addressing current challenges and promoting social transformation.

Discussions focused on CEAP’s current programs, including anti-dynasty advocacy and the People’s Initiative, as well as efforts to strengthen regional coordination and partnerships among schools. Preparations for the 2026 National Convention and upcoming Regional Assemblies were also taken up.

Policy matters included overdue membership fees, JEEPGY advocacy, transitions in basic education, CEAP awards, and updates on the amended by-laws. Financial reports covering the 2025 performance, proposed 2026 budget, and investment updates were likewise presented.

The meeting concluded with other matters before adjournment. A brief birthday celebration, led by Fr. Romulo C. Felix, was followed by a final blessing from Abp. Charlie M. Inzon, OMI, DD, and the day ended with a shared dinner.
