On February 18, 2026, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) held its National Advocacy Commission (NAC) meeting at the CEAP Office to align its mission with proactive national engagement. The session was facilitated by Fr. Wilmer Joseph S. Tria, Vice President and Region V Trustee, attended by NAC Members, Br. Manuel V. De Leon, FMS, Trustee-At-Large, Fr. Prisco A. Cajes, OFM, THd, Region VIII Trustee, Atty. Sabino B. Padilla IV, CEAP Legal Counsel, Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Executive Assistant to the President, Saint Louis University, and Mr. Karlo L. Abadines, Executive Director, Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan.
The meeting was conducted to establish a coherent, values-based advocacy agenda that ensures discernment and advocacy remain core to CEAP’s mission. The session centered on the principle that advocacy is an essential, mission-driven component of Catholic education. The Commission discussed key strategic goals and other current issues, such as anti-political dynasty, framing the issue as a challenge to systemic governance and social equity.
The National Advocacy Commission will gather all regional advocacy coordinators to discuss initiatives grounded in Catholic Social Teaching to ensure that CEAP remains a proactive and unified voice in addressing the nation’s most pressing social and political concerns.
