Catholic school leaders, administrators, and educators from the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan gathered at De La Salle Lipa on July 24, 2026 for the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Region IV Assembly 2026.
Centered on the theme, “Newness in Catholic Education: Charting a Constellation of Hope,” the annual regional assembly became a meaningful venue for dialogue, collaboration, and professional formation as Catholic educational institutions continue to respond to the evolving needs of learners and society.
The assembly commenced with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, CEAP President. The celebration served as a fitting spiritual beginning, reminding participants that Catholic education remains rooted in faith while embracing innovation and transformation.
The opening program featured an overview of the assembly by CEAP Region IV Trustee Sr. Luzviminda G. Mojica, FdCC, presentation of the delegates by Sr. Emma Badajos, DVMI, Regional Secretary, and a welcome message from Br. Edmundo “Dodo” Fernandez, FSC, President of De La Salle Lipa.
In his inspirational message, CEAP President Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, invited delegates to view Catholic education as a “constellation of hope,” echoing the vision of Pope Leo XIV. He emphasized that Catholic schools become beacons of hope when they remain rooted in faith, foster intellectual excellence, provide compassionate pastoral care, and form leaders committed to justice and service.
This was followed with the CEAP National Report by Executive Director Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio, presenting CEAP’s accomplishments and continuing efforts in advancing Catholic education across the country. The report provided delegates with updates on the association’s key advocacy initiatives, strategic priorities, capacity-building programs, and national engagements, reaffirming CEAP’s commitment to supporting member schools in responding to the evolving needs of Catholic education while remaining faithful to its mission and values.
The program then proceeded with the orientation on the election of Trustee conducted by Fr. Jose Alain P. Manalo, PCSS President, a keynote address by Fr. Johnny C. Go, SJ, Ed.D, and concurrent learning sessions on emerging issues and innovations in Catholic education. These sessions provided delegates with opportunities to engage in meaningful dialogue and professional formation while strengthening their shared commitment to the mission of Catholic schools.
The assembly concluded with the announcement of the results of the Regional Trustee election, followed by a synthesis and reflection.
The CEAP Region IV Assembly 2026 reaffirmed that through collaboration, innovation, and steadfast hope in Christ, Catholic educational institutions can continue to shine as a true constellation of hope for the Church and the nation.
