June 6, 2026 — The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) continued its preparations for the 2026 National Convention with the Second Steering Committee Meeting, held virtually with full participation from CEAP National and partner institutions.
The meeting was facilitated by the CEAP National Secretariat alongside representatives from partner institutions to provide updates for the 2026 CEAP National Convention, which will be held at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City, on September 22-25, 2026.
CEAP Executive Director Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio delivered an opening message, encouraging committees to embrace creativity, innovation, and excellence in their work. He emphasized that the convention theme, “Newness in Catholic Education: Charting a Constellation of Hope,” should inspire participants to rediscover the transformative power of Catholic education.
CEAP Vice President Fr. Wilmer Joseph S. Tria offered an inspirational reflection, likening each committee to stars in a constellation: “Alone, you will be able to attract, but together, we will be able to create an impact.”
Each committee presented updates on their respective responsibilities, ensuring alignment across program implementation; guest relations and protocol; liturgy; convention secretariat; elections; membership and awards; registration; media and publicity; documentation; food; security; and medical.
The Steering Committee is composed of representatives from partner institutions in Region VII, led by Fr. Eduardo S. Celiz Jr., OAR, Region VII Trustee and President of the University of San Jose–Recoletos.
The CEAP National Secretariat announced that the third official notice, containing the full program of the convention, will soon be released following earlier notices on dates and registration guidelines.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the convention’s vision: to provide Catholic educators with fresh opportunities for dialogue, learning, and community, while renewing their commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
