CEBU CITY – Preparations are in full swing as the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) convened its Local Steering Committee on August 6, 2026, at Waterfront Hotel, bringing together the various teams working toward the successful celebration of the CEAP National Convention.
The meeting brought together representatives from partner institutions in Region VII, led by Fr. Eduardo S. Celiz Jr., OAR, Region VII Trustee and President of the University of San Jose–Recoletos. The local steering committees oversee key areas of the convention, including Program Implementation, Guest Relations and Protocol, Liturgy, Registration, Security, Medical, Media and Publicity, Documentation, Convention Secretariat, Food, and the Election, Membership and Awards Committee.
Each committee had the opportunity to discuss and address remaining concerns and ensure coordination across the different areas of the convention.
In his message to the committee members, CEAP Executive Director Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio reminded the group that the National Convention is more than a professional gathering for educators.
He emphasized that the convention is a celebration of faith, thanksgiving, and communion, with the Eucharist remaining at the heart of the gathering. More than a conference or seminar, it is an opportunity for members of the Catholic educational community to come together, renew their shared mission, and find inspiration in one another.
With the convention drawing closer and registration nearing its close, CEAP continues to move forward with its preparations, entrusting the remaining work to the shared commitment of its committees and to the grace that accompanies the communities that are coming together.
