The Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), through the Ateneo Policy Center (APC), has partnered with the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) on June 9, 2026 to advance data-sharing and research collaboration as it enters the final phase of its two-year Strategic Religious Engagement (SRE) Project. This collaborative initiative aims to strengthen partnerships and knowledge exchange between faith-based organizations (FBOs), government agencies, and development actors in the Philippines.
Launched in June 2024 in partnership with the World Faiths Development Dialogue (WFDD), the project responds to a growing need for more “strategic, effective, and purposeful” relationships within the development sector. Over the past two years, the project has produced research papers focused on the education and social protection sectors, conducted a national survey on public perceptions of FBOs, and held regional consultations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to validate its findings.
As part of the project’s documentation of effective practices, a series of caselet studies are being conducted to analyze how FBOs leverage their unique capacities to build lasting partnerships and garner support for development initiatives. Notably, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), represented by Executive Director Narcy F. Ador Dionisio, was interviewed as part of this study to provide expert insights into the dynamics of religious engagement in the country.
The CEAP expresses its full support for the Strategic Religious Engagement (SRE) Project, viewing it as a vital mechanism to amplify the impact of faith-based organizations on national development. Ultimately, CEAP welcomes this initiative as a crucial step toward fostering a more cohesive, data-driven alliance between faith-based organizations, the government, and the broader development sector in the Philippines.
