The National Christian Formation Commission (NCFC) held its regular commission meeting on June 19, 2026, via an online platform, to discuss and advance upcoming programs and initiatives on Christian formation, youth engagement, prayer activities, social action, and preparations for the 2026 NCFC Conference. The meeting aimed to align priorities and strengthen collaborative efforts in support of the mission of Catholic education.
The meeting was chaired by Sr. Luzviminda G. Mojica, FdCC, and attended by commission members and representatives from the various pillars, namely Sr. Aileen U. Bonifacio, SPC, Ms. Ma. Cristina G. Santos, and Ms. Leah Czarina A. Guevarra. Also present were Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio, CEAP Executive Director, and members of the CEAP Membership Services and Communications Unit (MCU). During the meeting, the Commission formally welcomed its new member, Ms. Conchita B. Alcala of The Canossa School, Inc.
Among the key matters discussed were the implementation of upcoming online learning and formation activities for students and educators, initiatives to promote prayer and spiritual development across CEAP member schools, and efforts to strengthen engagement among Catholic school communities. The Commission also reviewed plans for national programs that support faith formation, family accompaniment, and social responsibility.
A significant portion of the meeting focused on the preparations for the 2026 NCFC Conference, which aims to gather Catholic educators and formation practitioners from across the country. Discussions centered on program development, organizational preparations, and strategies to ensure that the conference remains responsive to the needs and realities of Catholic education today. The Commission also explored ways to strengthen participation and representation within its various formation pillars.
The meeting concluded updates on collaborative initiatives and external engagements that will further support the Commission’s mission of promoting holistic Christian formation in Catholic schools.
