Strategic Meeting Sets the Stage for PCSS-BE 2nd Edition Implementation  

Quezon City, January 2026 — The Philippine Catholic Schools Standards – Basic Education (PCSS-BE) Commission convened a productive meeting at the Phoenix Publishing House Inc. Building to prepare key modules, plans, and procedures for the upcoming roll-out of the PCSS-BE 2nd edition.

 The meeting was led by Fr. Alain P. Manalo, Chair of the PCSS Commission, and Dr. Cynthia Arcadio, Chair of the PCSS-BE Technical Consultants (TCs), together with the other TCs: Ms. Simonet Barrosa, Fr. Elmer Dizon, Mr. Jose Ramelle Javier, Dr. Miguel Rapatan, Dr. Amelia Ronquillo, and Msgr. Michael Feliciano Veneracion.  

The discussions centered on key preparations for the successful roll-out of the PCSS-BE 2nd edition. These included finalizing modules for orientation and training, planning the recruitment and development of trainers, reviewing potential trainers, creating a tentative schedule of roll-out activities, and clarifying procedures for school requests and documentation of PCSS implementation.

The meeting emphasized collaborative planning to ensure that the roll-out would be systematic, well-documented, and responsive to the needs of Catholic schools. Members also discussed strategies for engaging trainers effectively and ensuring that participating schools receive comprehensive guidance in self-assessment and implementation.

The outcomes of this meeting mark a significant step forward in CEAP’s continuing mission to support Catholic schools in achieving high standards of quality education, faith formation, and institutional sustainability.
