February 3, 2026 The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) – Philippine Catholic Schools Standards for Higher Education Technical Consultants (PCSS-HE TCs) convened its first meeting of the year to set the direction for Higher Education (HE) programs, placing strong emphasis on mentor development, orientation, and strengthened coordination across institutions.
The meeting was led by Dr. Miguel Rapatan, chair of the PCSS-HE TCs, together with Dr. Pilar Romero, Fr. Thadeu Enrique Balongag, Fr. Elmer Dizon, and CEAP Executive Director Mr. Narcy F. Ador Dionisio.
During the session, the CEAP-PCSS HE Technical Consultants reaffirmed their commitment to mentor formation, announcing orientation seminars for those who had completed training. A structured training cycle will be introduced to ensure consistent standards across Catholic higher education institutions. To support this, a secretariat mechanism was established to streamline coordination between national and regional activities, balancing schools’ preference for localized sessions with the need for unified standards.
With clear plans for mentor development, semestral orientations, and a strengthened coordination framework, the CEAP-PCSS HE under the PCSS Commission is poised to enhance the quality and inclusivity of Catholic higher education. The initiatives set forth in this first meeting of 2026 mark a decisive step toward holistic formation, accountability, and excellence in the sector.
